Celebration of life services for Ms. Shernika R. Curtis, of Atlanta will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at Bethel Original Freewill Baptist Church, 1890 Second Ave., Decatur. Rev. V. Speakman, Sr. Pastor Shane G. Brown, Officiating. Interment, Kennedy Memorial Gardens , Ellenwood. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the mortuary from 5:30 - 7:30 P.M. She was preceded her in death by her parents, Jarrell Scott, Cheryl Daugherty, Bobby Curtis, Sr.; brother, Elanta Daugherty; five aunts, Veronica, Cynthia and Vickie Scott, Sherry Glass and Temple Curtis; one uncle, Barry Scott. Shernika leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted father, Lonnie Daughtery; daughters, Donkeria, Shaniya, Khaylah Curtis, Genisis Gavins; sons, Kur’an Curtis, G’Millyone Curtis; sisters, Terrica Hicks (Glenn), Racquel Scott, Kamesia Wynn, Timirial Jordan, Valencia Render; brothers, Bobby Curtis, Jr., Lonnie Daugherty, Jr.; aunts, Glenda Scott, Brenda Curtis, Diane Johnson, Rebbecca Gay; uncles, Roderick Scott, Kerry Armstrong, Simon Shackleford; Godmother, Ms. Alice George; a God given sister and bestfriend, Indy Williams; a special friend, Gary Gavins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
