Dear Heard Family,

On behalf of myself, Principal Angela Bethea, and the entire Obama Elementary family, I am writing to express our deepest condolences on the passing of Ms. Raesha Heard. We were deeply saddened to hear of her untimely departure, and our hearts go out to you during this difficult time.

Ms. Heard was not only my student when I was principal at SWD, but also a devoted mother to her two children, Rylee and Rajai Heard, who were once students at Obama Elementary Magnet. We remember Ms. Heard as a caring and loving parent.

Losing a loved one is never easy, and we understand the pain and grief you must be experiencing. Please know that the Obama Eagle family stands with you in solidarity and support. Rylee and Rajai were cherished members of our school community and we are lifting them up in prayer!

As we mourn the loss of Raesha, let us also celebrate her life and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. She will forever be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her children.
