Homegoing Services for Ms. Josephine Taylor, will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023, 12:00 NOON at The Chapel of Donald Trimble Mortuary. Elder Terrance Maeberry, Officiating, Eulogist. Interment, South-View Cemetery, Atlanta, GA.

Josephine Taylor was born on August 2nd, 1953 in Montgomery Alabama to David Brooks & Dorothy Taylor. She was affectionately known as Josie to all of her friends and family. She grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and received her early education from the Montgomery County Public Schools. In 1978 she moved to Atlanta, Georgia and remained there for her entire adult life. A life well spent, one that touched others with a smile, love and devotion, came to a close on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023 at WellStar Douglas Medical Center in Douglasville, Ga. Josie learned the importance of knowing God and was united with Christ Jesus at an early age. She remained a faithful member of Central Holiness Church in Atlanta, Ga until her health began to fail her. Josie is proceeded in death by both of her parents David & Dorothy, her son Otis Dewayne, grandson Kameron & siblings David, Roosevelt, Clara, Mozell, Willie Earl & Dorothy Jean. She leaves cherished memories to her two sons, Reginald Taylor, Sr., & Elmarco Taylor, Sr. (Gwendolyn); eight grandchildren: Marquavious, Reginald Jr., Quindarious, Elmarco Jr., Zykeria, Jahmari, Jacoby & Lamont; and sixteen siblings: Clarence, Aaron, Lawrence, Tommie, Jerry, Gloria, Deloris, Rosie, Linda, Carolyn, Clementine (Ken), Johnnie, Lillie, Georgia, Jeanette, & Horace; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
