Mr. Willie Lee Tennyson, Sr. was born February 16, 1947, in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Tommie Lee Tennyson, Sr. and Mrs. Mamie Brown Tennyson. He transitioned from labor to reward, January 9, 2022. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 15, 2022, 11:00 A.M, Mount Pleasant C.M.E. Church, Bartow, Georgia with MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING. Public viewing will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Mr. Tennyson received his education in the Jefferson County School System. He attended school at Atlanta Tech for diagnostic alignment for cars. His passion was cars (fast hot rods). His favorite car was a Plymouth Road Runner. Mr. Tennyson was preceded in death by his son, Tyrone Tennyson; his parents; and his siblings, Charles D. Tennyson, Tom Tennyson, Jr., Lester Tennyson, Al Tennyson, Bobby Tennyson, Jerry Tennyson, and Shirley J. Tennyson. Mr. Tennyson was well loved and leaves his fond memories to a devoted son, Willie Lee Tennyson, Jr. (Lil Willie Jr.), Stockbridge, GA; two grandsons, DeAndre R. Tennyson, Douglasville, GA, and Damanian T. Tennyson, South Fulton, GA; god-daughter, Joey Tennyson, Union City, GA; five sisters, Sadie Sanders, Trenton, NJ, Mamie C. Johnson, Waynesboro, GA, Joann McNeil, Atlanta, GA, Delois (Reverend James) Axen, St. Augustine, FL, and Sarah T. Holmes, Augusta, GA; two brothers, Issac Golmes, Forsyth, GA and James Holmes, Jacksonville, FL; sister in law, Diane D. Tennyson, Louisville, GA; three aunts, Myrt Brown, Bartow, GA, Pauline Brown, and Odella Brown, Jacksonville, FL; devoted nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends, Marion White, Wadley, GA and Curtis Ellison, Waynesboro, GA.
