Mrs. LaTasha Danette Gordon Mayo was born in Richmond County, Georgia to the parentage of Viola Gordon and the late Larry Smith. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 12 Noon at New Hope A.M.E. Church Cemetery with MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING. Her journey of life ended Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Augusta State University. LaTasha attended Louisville High School but received her GED from Sandersville Technical College in 2006. She worked as a cashier at IGA in Wrens, GA for the past year and a half. LaTasha loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Christen Gordon. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Warren Mayo, Augusta, GA; three daughters, LaTaysha Patterson and Nakayla Patterson, Wrens, GA, Aubree Gordon, Statesboro, GA; two grandchildren, Taylor Patterson and Madisyn Farmer; her loving mother, Viola Gordon Demelus, Statesboro, GA; two sisters, LaRhonda Smith, Louisville, GA, Kewand Gordon, Reno Nevada; one brother, Alexander Bush, Augusta, GA; her maternal grandmother, Lois Thompson Gordon, Stapleton, GA; her step mother, Eloise Smith, Louisville, GA; aunts and uncles, Joyce Ryan, Diane (Jackie) Smith, Ricky Gordon, Micheal Gordon, Stapleton, GA, Gwen Farmer, Marietta, CA, George Gordon, North Carolina; great aunts and uncles, Doreatha Wolfe, Stapleton, GA, Dr. Dennis and Dr. Mary Thompson, Joe and Willie Mae Thompson, Shirley Whitfield, Louisville, GA, Janet and Johnny Morgan, Avera, GA, Martha Jones and Robert Gordon, Wilmington, Delaware, George and Pat Thompson, Miami, FL; God sister, Shavodka Reese, Louisville, GA; Godchildren, Chrystazia Jackson and Khaden Hadden; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
