Obituary For Katherine "Kat" Latimore King

Ms. Katherine Latimore King was born in Bartow, GA, October 17, 1946 to the parentage of the late Harvie and Gertrude Brown Latimore.

"Kat" as she was lovingly known made her transition from labor to reward on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Brinson Hill Baptist Church. Interment will be held in the Brinson Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.

"Kat" was born in Jefferson County and resided here until she moved to Florida over forty-five years ago. She worked at Motorola until her retirement. In 1998 she returned to Georgia where she joined the Christian family at the Brinson Hill Baptist Church. She loved going to the Jefferson County Leisure Center. She loved life and enjoyed making her own clothes and shopping on QVC. Her very best friend was her dog, Layla.😊. "Kat" loved to eat but only when someone else cooked.

She is preceded in death by her parents and several siblings: Van Latimore, Sr., P.W. Latimore, Harvie Latimore, Jr. Earnest Gene Latimore, Nellie Wilcher, Mildred McKinney, Darlene Wilson, Ida Mae Wright and Morine Mitchell.

Her presence will forever be missed in the daily lives of her siblings: Willie Roy Latimore, Boston, Mass, Janet (Wesley) Snell and Annie Laura (Ronnie) Harmon, Wadley, GA; several loving nieces and nephews including Bobbie Harris, Wadley, GA; sisters-in-law: Margaret Latimore, Wadley, GA; a her goddaughters: Ashanta Washington and Lauren Turner; a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday-Monday November 4th-6th, 2023 from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Forestview Apartment Community Center, 622 N. MLK, Jr. Blvd.
