Public viewing will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life will be held April 4, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the James and Virginia Davis Chapel, 727 Beech Street, Louisville, GA. Interment will be held in the Jones Chapel C.M.E. Church Cemetery.
He made his transition to be with the Lord on March 28, 2025. He joins, his wife, the love of his life, Ezeal Elizabeth Hunter, his sister, Carlene Hollins, sons, Titus Martin, Tony Martin, Freddie Martin and Arthur Lee Martin, who preceded him in death.
His entire life was always centered around his family. If you lived any place near Jefferson County, you had to know Hoyt Hollins the best painter around that spent his time sharing and teaching his children and grandchildren that hard work never hurt anyone and to always be honest.
The memories of his character will be forever etched in the hearts and minds of his children: Hoyt (Carolyn) Hollins Jr., Wrens GA, Ronnie (Janice) Martin, Milledgeville GA, Gwendolyn (Kenneth Heath Sr,) Martin, Louisville GA, Gussie (Rufus) Jordan, Louisville GA. Loretta Hollins, Wadley GA; a grandson he reared as his own: Hoyt (Dinedra) Hollins, Swainsboro GA; three granddaughters that he reared: Torri (Carlo) Thompson, Richmond Virginia, Loretta (Datron) Hollins, Wadley GA, Nadia (Qwantavious) Martin-Curry, Baxley GA, two great- grandchildren that he reared as his own: Cozet Weaver and Jonta Weaver; two daughters-in-law: Lyndia Martin, and Lenora Martin; two very close nieces, Ollie Jean Jordan, Jefferson County GA and Charlene Chapman, Atlanta GA and a special bond with his nephew Bryan Austin, Augusta GA. He also shared a special bond with his cousins: Albert and Deroy Bealle; Thirty-three grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
