Obituary For Freddie Lee Whitfield

Freddie Whitfield of New Haven, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Yale New Haven Hospital. A native of Davisboro, GA Freddie was born the fifth child of Idella and Jasper Whitfield on October 3, 1969. Freddie was the baby of the family. He owned his own private business. He was a kind and gentle man, who loved everyone close to him with a heart of gold. He was a great father, grandfather and friend.

Public viewing will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at James and Virginia Davis Chapel, 727 Beech Street, Louisville, GA.

Interment will be held in the Jordan Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Davisboro, GA

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Raquel Thompson, New Haven, CT, Jakina Dudley of Lumberton N.C, Freddie Whitfield Jr., of New Haven, CT, Chaela Stevenson of New Haven, CT, and nine grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Sandra Jenkins, Davisboro, GA, Lillie Ruth (husband Paul) Middleton, Davisboro, GA, Mary Alice Tukes, Davisboro, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Freddie is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Coleman Mcloud.
