On March 9, 1967, a loving bouncing baby girl was born into the household of Leroy Brown, Sr. and Beatrice Shellman Brown. They named her, Essie Bell Brown.
She peacefully made her transition from labor to reward on February 6, 2025 at an Augusta Hospital. She joins her father and one sister, Diane Brown who preceded her in death.
Public viewing will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA, 30434.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Blount Chapel Baptist Church, 684 Blount Chapel Road, Louisville, GA.
Interment will be held in the San Hill Cemetery, Old Louisville Road, Louisville, GA
Essie was always upbeat and filled with laughter. At an early age she joined the Blount Chapel Baptist Church. She attended Gough Elementary and later Ogeechee Training Center.
She leaves memories of smiles on the faces of her mother: Beatrice S. Brown, Augusta, GA; her brother and sister-in-law: Leroy (Sharon) Brown, Augusta, GA; her sister and caretaker: Jannett Brown, Augusta, GA; nephews and niece: Leroy Brown, III, Fredrick Brown, Kendrick Brown and Jessica Brown; great nieces and great nephews, several devoted cousins and other loving friends.

We are sending our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of sweet Essie. it was truly our honor and pleasure to be a part of her journey. She was just in the office a copuple days prior to her departure and she was smiling and making jokes with the staff. It was always so much fun to have her visit. Our hearts are with all who loved Essie, she brought such joy.
