Clara Jackson Wade was born August 6, 1962, at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn New York to the late Willie Anderson Jackson and Lucille Patricia Jackson. She was raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
She made her transition from labor to reward on April 3, 2024.
Public viewing will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 4:00 โ 6:00 P.M. at Gathering of Champions Church, 1994 Power Springs Road, NW, Marietta, Georgia.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 12:00 Noon and Gathering of Champions Church, 1994 Power Springs Road, SW, Marietta, Georgia.
Clara attended Central High School in Bridgeport CT, graduating in 1980. She then matriculated to Housatonic Community College, Bridgeport, CT. She gained employment at Bridgeport Hospital and dedicated over 20 years of service. Beginning as a Unit Secretary, later she transferred to Industrial Med. where she built so many lifelong friendships with so many people.
In March of 2008, Clara and her family relocated to Austell, Georgia, where she gained employment with Childrenโs Healthcare of Atlanta in the Emergency Department and the Transfer Center as Bed Coordinator for almost 16 years.
Clara was preceded in death by her father, Willie Anderson Jackson; sisters, Cynthia Delia Lanham and Deborah Lorraine Greggs.
Survived by her three sons, Maurice Lynn Jackson (Latrice), Milton Jerone King, Darnell Lynn Wade, Jr.; husband, Darnell Lynn Wade Sr.; mother, Lucille P. Jackson; grandchildren, Maurice Lamont Jackson, Mahlik Jackson, Maurice Lynn Jackson Jr, Marcus Jackson, Mekhi Jackson, Jayden Lewis, Takai King, Deslynn Wade; siblings, Valerie Renee Uwakwe, Christopher Anderson Jackson (Wanda), Shonda Marie Jackson; and a host of other relatives and many friend.
