Charles Edward “Boo” Mitchell transitioned peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2024, at his home. He was born on August 19, 1961, to Fannie Mae Gibbons Mitchell and John B Mitchell. His life was marked by meaningful contributions and cherished memories.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church, 5116 Belmont Road, Louisville, GA at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will be held in the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

At an early age Charles joined the Christian family at the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church in Louisville, Georgia, and proudly graduated from Louisville High School in 1979. Known affectionately as "Boo," he had a successful career as a dedicated truck driver, known as “LOW RIDER”, working with esteemed companies such as B.H. Trucking Company, Howard Sheppard Trucking Company, Kenneth Trucking Company, and C & B Trucking Company. Charles also served as a Truck Driver Instructor at Sandersville Technical School, where he met his devoted wife, with whom he shared 23 wonderful years of marriage. In his leisure time, Charles enjoyed fishing and bringing joy to those around him through his humor.

Charles is preceded in death by his father; sisters, Rosetta Mitchell and Anne Cannon, brother, Jerry Swint, Jr.; and a grandson, Sebestain Lewis.

He leaves behind cherished memories and a loving family, including his devoted wife, Bettye Mitchell of Louisville, GA; his mother, Fannie Gibbons Mitchell of Louisville, GA; and four children: Sharleta Burton of Dublin, GA, Cherkera (Keith Jr.) Mitchell of Wadley, GA, Moniqua Harmon of Augusta, GA, and Kateisha Fields of Belle Grade, Florida. He is also survived by one stepdaughter, Yadetress (Craig) Mack of Atlanta, GA; two godsons, Dontavius Meadow of Augusta, GA, and Julius (Shannon) Patterson of California; and six caring sisters: Annie Mitchell of Lilburn, GA, Mary Gamble and Emily Jose of Wrightsville, GA, Doris (Linton) Johnson of Bartow, GA, Carrie (Devon) Williams of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Bobbie (Frank) Davis of Atlanta, GA. In addition, he is remembered by four brothers: Johnny Mitchell of Wadley, GA, Torris (Pamela) Mitchell of Louisville, GA, and Willie (Nettie) Swint and Willie (Delois) Williams of Wrightsville, GA. He leaves behind one aunt, Juanita Tarver of Wrens, GA; four sisters-in-law: Joan Poole of Sandersville, GA, Ella Ellison of Tennille, GA, Martha Norris of Louisville, GA, and Betty Swint of Wrightsville, GA; as well as six beloved grandchildren: Chastity Burton, Christopher Jordan, Keith Mitchell III, Keirstin Mitchell, River Alexander, and Madisyn Ferguson, along with Caydence Mack. He is also survived by his god-sister, Wendy (Andrew) Sheppard, and dedicated friends Milton Reaves, Diane “Lady D.” Young and Diane Cunningham, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and family members and friends, all of whom will carry his spirit forward with love and fond memories.

Davis Funeral Home of 725 Beech Street Louisville, is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Charles Edward “Boo” “Low Rider” Mitchell.
