Mr. Arthur Lee Morris, born on May 12, 1953, to the late Harrison Morris Sr. and Margaret Johnson Morris, departed this life on February 18, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. His journey on this earth was marked by deep connections with his family, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the simple joys of life.
A Celebration of Life service honoring Mr. Morris will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Bryant Grove Baptist Church, located at 5293 GA Hwy 24, Waynesboro, Georgia 30830. Following this service, interment will occur at the Bryant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA.
Mr. Morris became a member of Bryant Grove Baptist Church at an early age, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to his faith and community. He dedicated over 15 years of his career to construction work under the mentorship of Robert McCollough Construction, showcasing his diligent character and strong work ethic.
Though he is preceded in death by beloved parents and loving sisters: Margaret Danzey, Ethel Burley, Ernestine Gray, and Frances M. Lockhart; The impact he made on those around him will forever resonate.
Known for his love of fishing, Mr. Morris cherished the peaceful moments spent in nature, reflecting his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He was a private individual who held his family dear to his heart. His legacy is carried on by his surviving siblings: his brother, Harrison (Bernice) Morris, Jr., Millen, GA, and his sisters, Rosie B. Lewis (John Luden), Albany, New York, Mary Lou Jones, Louisville, GA, Ruby Williams, Louisville, GA and Mae Bell Bynes, Louisville, Georgia.
Arthur Lee Morris will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his genuine spirit.
