Rhonda Patterson Hardin, 56, of 2200 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina. She was born in Gastonia, North Carolina on October 19, 1962, daughter of the late David Gerald Patterson and Rosetta Werts Patterson. Early in life, she accepted Christ as her personal savior at St. Stephens A.M.E. Zion Church, Gastonia, North Carolina. After marriage, she united with St. Paul Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina where she was a member of the Missionary Circle, Usher Ministry and Kitchen Committee.
She attended Gaston County Schools, graduating from Ashbrook High School in the “Class of 1980”. Rhonda began her career as a bank teller at BB&T in Gastonia. She also spent fifteen or more years at Stabilus Manufacturing. Rhonda found her passion at First Wesleyan where she touched the lives of many children, parents, and her colleagues; many would say that her laugh was the most memorable. She always had a zeal to HELP others. Rhonda also worked for Res Care. Rhonda assisted her physically handicapped clients. Lentalus E. Barnett and the late John Jones and Andy Hardin who loved her deeply and enjoyed their time with her.
In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her son, Jonna M. Hardin. She leaves to cherish precious memories her beloved daughter, Maya Nicole Hardin (Malcolm); three sisters, Rita Patterson, Lorie Sadler (Patrick) and Sharon Byrd (Michael); nephews, Devin Barber (Cathy), Chase Patterson (Brittany), Chavis Byrd; her devoted mother-in-law, Hattie Hardin (Don); special cousin, Danita Gordon; a host of other relatives and many friends.

VISITATION: at the church Saturday from 12:30 P.M. until 1:00 P.M.
BURIAL: Rose Hill Cemetery North Morris Street Gastonia, North Carolina 28052
I know your hearts are heavy, know that she is in the arms of our heavenly father. God will give you comfort. She's now with her loving parents.

Its very hard to bear the loss of someone so dear. And although there is little that one can say or do to take away all your pain, please know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many. May every loving memory be like the warming rays of sun which help to bring some comfort when the pain and sorrow comes. And may you continue to assure your heart that Rhonda is safe in God's memory.
