Deborah Louise Tate was born May 17th, 1957 in Gastonia, North Carolina and departed this life Thursday, July 2, 2020 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Walter Tate, Sr. and Dora L. Tate. She attended Ashbrook High School in Gastonia, North Carolina. She was a former employee of Pharr Yarns, Inc., Homelite, Wix Filtration, Dillards and Belk Stores.
Debbie, known as Deb to some, was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, aunt, friend who took care of us all, as well as many others. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Tate and one brother, Samuel Walter Tate, Jr.
She leaves to cherish memories: one son; Charles Tate of Kings Mountain, NC, one daughter; Jasmine Tate of Gastonia, NC, one grandson; Elijah Tate of Gastonia, NC, 8 sisters; Marth E. Tate, Sheila R. Tate, Mary Young (Melvin) all of Gastonia, NC, Rev. Robbin E. Young of Rome, GA, Laura A. Williamson (Kevin) Evelyn M. Williams (Greg) of Stanley, NC, Mary Crawford (Tommy Lee) of Belmont, NC, Joyce Tate of Charlotte, NC, 1 brothers; Duncan E. Tate of Gastonia, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of relatives and friends.
