Evangelist Tracey Mackey-Lockett was born on November 22,1971, in Daytona Beach Florida to the late Leola Fields and John Mackey. "Big Mac" (as she was known to her friends and family) passed away peacefully, with Her husband and family by her side, on April 12th, 2022, in Ormond Beach Florida at Advent Health.
Tracey spent her entire life in Daytona Beach. She attended Mainland High School. After high school she worked as a C.N.A for many years. Tracey was a lover of food, purple, laughing, music, her family, friends, and her faith. To know Tracey was to have laughed with or to have shared a kind word, whether a close friend or stranger. Being humbly social was a special gift that God bestowed upon her. Those who were fortunate enough to be in her presence were drawn to her infectious and ebullient personality. Tracey was an amazing wife, older sister, Aunt, friend, and stepmother. Selflessness and generosity were just two of the admirable qualities that highlighted her personality. Tracey touched the lives of countless numbers of people in the 51 years that God blessed her to live. She was a hard worker, unyielding in the face of adversity as well as a person who never gave up. She had an unassuming and disarming smile that could put anyone at ease; from newborns to the elderly, everyone was her friend.
Her sense of humor was second only to her compassion. Even when ill, Tracey was never angry, sad, or depressed – she could find the silver lining to keep pushing forward in any situation. She was truly special. She represented the good that we all need every day in our lives. She was one of a select few who could rise to meet challenges with a smile. We are proud to have been blessed with this remarkable woman. Her spirit was one of a kind. Tracey truly loved the Lord with her whole heart. Her heart’s desire was that the Lord would be pleased with her life. She received the Lord Jesus into her heart over 20 years ago at Madison Heights CO.G.I.C with Pastor Max and Sis. Abby Hawkins. Tracey loved street ministry, tent revivals, and dancing with her flag. She was a member of Madison Heights C.O.G.I.C for over 10 years where she grew deeper in the word and her spiritual walk with the Lord. Even though the Lord moved her, she remained connected to Madison Heights and Pastor and Sister Hawkins. Tracey joined Prophetic Worship Outreach Ministries in 2013 under the leadership of Apostle Tammy and Overseer Gary Reese. She remained an active member until her illness prevented her from serving. She served on the pastor support team, outreach ministry intercessory prayer team and Covenant Partner to Battle Like Boss Women’s Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her mother Leola Fields, father John C. Mackey, her son Pierre Mackey, sister Bettina Alexander, (6) uncles and (2) aunts.
She is survived by a loving family: husband Charles Lockett, (2) sisters Alvina White, and Rogina White (Gary Upson). (5) brothers, Jermaine Fields, Charles Murphy, Reneil Fields, Maurice Fields and Robert Williams. A stepdaughter Quiana Neeley. (1) Aunt Ruby Daniels-Bell, (5) uncles James Daniels, Hilton Daniels, Jerome Daniels, Bobby Daniels, and Walter Daniels. Best friend Tarosolyn Dewberry, spiritual Parents Pastor Max and Sis Abby Hawkins. (6) Nieces, (2) Nephews, (7) Great Nieces and (3) Great nephews. And a host of Cousins and friends who all loved Tracey.
