Evette Lawanda Davis was born on Monday, April 24, 1978, to Eddie Lee Davis, Sr. and Eveline Davis in St. Augustine, Florida. Evette was educated in St. John's County Public Schools and attended St. Augustine High School. She graduated from Everest University, earning her degree as a medical assistant. She was employed at Omar Medical PLLC for eight years as an office manager. Evette was very, creative and had an entrepreneurial spirit, and enjoyed providing fun entertainment for her family and friends. Evette loved to love on people. She was a devoted mother, caring daughter, loving sister, and loyal friend. She was a doting grandmother who especially loved her role as YAYA. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. She was loved by her patients as well Evette was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Eddie Lee Davis, Jr., paternal grandfather, Ira Hall, paternal grandmother, Mattie Mae Davis, maternal grandmother, Nelle McDougle She leaves to cherish her memories: parents, Eddie Lee Davis, Sr., and Eveline Davis, sons, Darius Davis, Carl Latrell Robinson III, daughters, Diajah (Carlos) Cooper, Raven Vessells, all of St. Augustine; brothers, Eric (Sabrina) Davis, Sr., St. Augustine; Everick (Rosa) Davis, Sr., McLeansville, North Carolina; sisters, Elaine (Avery) Anderson, Endolyn (James) Wadley, both of Palm Coast; Elanda Floyd, Ericka (Richard) Reid, both of St. Augustine; Evonne (Mark) Smith, Bowie Maryland; Lisa (Johnny) Jones, St. Augustine; grandchildren, Kai Cooper, Trinity Kornegay, aunt, Dorothy Davis, San Francisco, California; uncle, Prince (Cherry) McDougle, St. Augustine, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. The Davis family will receive friends and the community 6-7:30 p.m., Friday, January 6, at the Felix Coleman Memorial Chapel in Hastings. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, at Anchor Faith Church, 2121 US-1 STE 28, St. Augustine. Interment will be held in Evergreen Cemetery.
