Jeremiah Lee Godfrey was born on May 27, 2016 in Anniston, Alabama to Shiloh Hillard and Ronald Godfrey Sr. He departed this life on Tuesday November 1, 2022. Shortly after birth, his name was placed on the roll as a member of The United House of Prayer for All People. Some months later, the family moved to Winnsboro, S.C and shortly thereafter, Jeremiah became a member of The Bailey Spiritual Sounds of Return. Jeremiah was educated at the Fairfield Elementary School and also a member of the Fairfield County Tiny League Baseball Team: The Braves. Jeremiah was a fun-loving, energetic, caring young boy that was full of life and love. He had a smile that could brighten a dark day in a matter of seconds. At an early age, he took an interest in the moon and the stars. If he was going somewhere at night, he would make it his business to look for the moon. Jeremiah also had other interest such as playing video games on his phone or iPad, doing different drawings, going to Dave & Busters and the list goes on. But when it came to what he wanted to watch on T.V, it was either Paw Patrol or PJ Mask and you better not disturb him. Jeremiah loved his family dearly. He was very protective of his mother as most sons are, always making sure she was alright, never ceasing from loving on her. When visiting his father, it was playing with the train set, going to Dave & Buster’s, or Cici’s pizza. Jeremiah loved all of his siblings. There was never a dull moment. He didn’t mind putting his hands on them, but when he got it back he didn’t like it to well. The one sibling that he was closest to was his younger sister Harmony. Because they were so close in age, their bond was really tight. So tight until he sometimes thought he was her father. They were 2 peas in a pod. They would argue, tell on each other, play together, tell on each other more, and then love on each other. But the funniest things to see would be Jeremiah telling Harmony to stop lying. He would say with a stern voice and stern look on his face, “Stop lying! You Lying, Harmony.” You couldn’t help but to be tickled by that. Bottom line is that no matter what, he loved his entire family, ready to protect them in his own way. Jeremiah had begun to develop a love for music, which he would inherit honestly from his mother’s love of music and his father’s ability as a musician. His instrument of choice was the flute. After a song was played for him by his mother, Jeremiah was able to play it on his flute almost exactly the way he heard it. Jeremiah’s life took a turn when he was diagnosed with brain cancer in January of this year, but his bravery and willing to fight allowed his to surpass the time that was given by the doctors. God decided to pick a beautiful rose from the rose garden to be placed next to him, and though Jeremiah is gone too soon, we know that he’s in a much better place Jeremiah leaves to mourn his lost his mother, Sis.
