Amos “Quincy” Cole
Amos Melvin Cole Son of the late Clarence Cole Sr. and Naomi Bennett Cole, was born January 25, 1955 in Wadesboro, N.C. Amos departed this life on July 19,2022 at Medical University of South Carolina in Lancaster S.C.
“Quincy” was educated from Anson County schools in Wadesboro, N.C. He served in the U.S Army from 1973 to 1976. Quincy was a member of Mt. Harmon Missionary Baptist Church.
Amos was married to Kath Blakeney Cole for 41 Years. 2 step sons Mitchell Blakeney and James Reid Jr, 2 adopted children Laquice Blakeney and Mitchell Blakeney Jr., His Favorite Niece Keisha, 3 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Siblings Paul (Edna) Bennet of Polkton, N.C, Jimmy Cole of Wadesboro N.C, Perry (Cynthia) Cole of Rockingham, N.C, Terry (Angel) Cole, Danny (Angela) Cole of Rockingham, N.C, Clarence (Teera) Cole Jr. of Charlotte, N.C, Vickie (Hilton) Easterling, Donna (Dennis) Ledbetter of Monroe, N.C, Angela (Derrick) Cole of Rockingham, N.C, 6 Sister in-laws Lola Blakeney of Pageland, S.C, Patricia (Ronnie) Corbett of Pageland, S.C, and Robin Cole, Susie Bracey, Christine Blackeney, Sandra Blakeney, 1 Brother preceded him in death Robert Cole.
