Larry O’Brian Smith, Sr.
Larry O’Brian Smith, Sr. was born on September 23, 1951 to the late Reverend Clarence E. Smith and Annie B. Smith. He entered eternal rest on Monday, May 20, 2024 at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, Virginia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Clarence Jerome Smith. He received his education in Mecklenburg County Public Schools and joined Cedar Grove No. 1 in Clarksville, Virginia at an early age. Larry was employed with Lewis Tree Service until his retirement.
Larry had a kind and soft heart and was loved by many. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Mary E. Smith. To this union, three children were born; Sandra Smith of South Hill, Virginia; Sharon Webb of Chester, Virginia and Larry Smith, Jr. of Clarksville, Virginia; three grandchildren; Kylah, Jadah and Tamyah Webb; four aunts; Estelle Richards, Lois Brown, Wilhelmina Gregory and Carrie Gregory; six sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; a vast number of nieces, nephews, host of other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Larry O’Brian Smith, Sr. will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, 11:00AM at the Carter’s Funeral Home Chapel, 206 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, Virginia with the Reverend Earl Terry bringing forth the Eulogy.

So sorry to hear this. My biggest memory of Larry was he'd always go out of his way to speak and give words of cheer. May the family feel the comfort that God gives during this trying time.
