Owen Anthony Evans was greeted into this world on June 24, 1960, by his loving parents who have predeceased him. While attending school and flourishing in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, he developed a love for fishing. As an avid fisherman, his skills as a fisherman would sometime take him from his home island to Nicaragua on fishing trips. Owen eventually set his sights on immigrating to America where he landed in the Glades area. While working in the Glades, he met and married Mary Kindred on April 25, 1990. This union led to the birth of their daughter, Owenya Evans, whom Owen adored. Owen had very strong work ethics. He worked hard and long to accomplish goals he set for himself and his family. He worked 29 years for United States Sugar Corporation as a Utility Operator and Mechanic. Always desiring to improve himself and learn new skills, Owen became a master electrician and plumber. With his acquired skills, he used these talents to extend his services as an electrician and plumber to assist neighbors in need of his services. Owen Anthony Evans leaves to cherish his memory His wife of 32 years, Mary Kindred Evans; His children Jevon Evans (Tampa, FL), Owenya Evans (Clewiston, FL), Jenica Evans (North Port, FL), Jessica Evans (North Port, FL), Jaydon Evans (North Port, FL); His Grandchildren Jaelah Evans, Nevaeh Evans, Jaida Esson, Nalayjah Hunter, Jevon Evans, Jr. & Jade Ebanks. His stepson Clifford (Erika) Kindred (Pueblo, CO); His Sisters Suzette Tugman and Cherylann Dawkins (Jamaica); A Special Sister-in-law Dr. Idell McLaughlin (Royal Palm Beach, FL); Numerous family members that include nieces, nephews, and cousins; and Very Special Friends Vermont Reid, Alphonso Radcliffe, and Elder Brathrom Collins.

I miss you Owen. 💕💕
Can't believe you are gone. My heart aches with the realization that you are no longer here. You are stuck where you never wanted to be. Forever in my heart. Another sleepless night my love.
Truly a kind, gentle, loving and quiet man. May his soul rest in eternal peace. We'll see u on the other side.
Forever in my heart. The memories I'll keep forever. I know how you loved to fish If I could only have just one wish It would be that you have truly gone fishing, would be back home, but instead I sit her dismissing the thoughts of what if. If love could have saved you Owen. You would still be here with your loved ones. Jo
