Obituary For Gertrude Davis
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.
Mrs. Gertrude Davis, age 98, of Warrenton, North Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, March 12,2025 at her residence.
A celebration of life will be held for Mrs. Gertrude Davis on Saturday, March 22,2025 at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Service. The Reverend Renee Few will officiate and burial will follow in the Davis Family Cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Betty Goganious; one son, Kelvin A. Davis; three whom she raised as her own, Joyce Davis, Fannie Merriman, and Celvid “Booster” Davis; one daughter in-law, Linda Davis; several grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 2:00pm-6:00pm in the chapel. The family will be present to receive friends and visitors from 4:00pm until 6:00pm.
