Mr. Clarence Edwards, age 73, of Warrenton, NC departed this life on Friday, September 13, 2024, at his residence.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Service, 149 Holland Bland Road, Warrenton, NC. Evangelist Mamie Greene will deliver the eulogy, and burial will follow at a later date at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Clarence leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Diane Edwards; eight children, Alexis Baylock (Charles), Debora Ross, Letisha Hargrove, Joseph Gibbs (Ruth), Tucker Gibbs (Tracey), Carlester Lewis, Thomas Lewis, and Samuel Lewis (Najiyyah); eighteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three sisters; Bernice Edwards, Tonyetta Edwards, and Christine Edwards Vanish (Carl); two brothers, Williams Edwards (Betty) and Larry Edwards; thirteen great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Edwards may be viewed on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Service.

Sending my condolences to my Edwards family. Uncle Clarence will surely be missed. I will never forget how he would stop by and visit me when he would come to NC from NY. I was just reminiscing not long ago about the stories I was told about some of the adventures him and my other Uncle Clarence Mayo would go on together.
