I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,

Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;

Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

Ms. Charlene A. Richardson, age 62, of Warrenton, North Carolina departed this life on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Maria Parham Health in Henderson, North Carolina.

Celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church 224 Park Town Rd. Warrenton. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

She leaves to cherish and celebrate her legacy, her mother, Mary Richardson Williams of Warrenton, NC; her children, Shayna Richardson and Travis Richardson (Lucretia) both of Henderson, NC; a special son that she made her own, Preston Davis ( Tanisha) of Warrenton, NC; five grandchildren, Chadajah Clack, Alayla Williams, Kayson Williams, Dontrell Lewis, and Kyron Jones, all of Henderson, NC; one great-granddaughter, Aniyah Lewis of Henderson, NC; four sisters, Mary Richardson of Warrenton, NC, Gloria D. Kearney of Warrenton, NC, Sandra Kearney of Norfolk, VA, and Gladys Fields of Warrenton, NC; one brother, William “June” Kearney of Warrenton, NC; two uncles, Kenneth Richardson and David Richardson both of Warrenton, NC; one aunt, Betty Jean Rodwell of Raleigh, NC; two dedicated cousins, Ada Davis, and Roger Taylor both of Warrenton, NC ; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 10AM-2PM at Boyd & Royster Funeral Service 149 Holland Bland Rd. Warrenton.

The family are receiving friends and family at 57 Legacy Drive, Henderson, North Carolina.
