Bernard’s announces the passing of Mrs. Verlia Mae Lockhart. Mother Lockhart transitioned Friday, January 31, 2025, in Macon, Georgia.
Visitation/viewing will be held at our Eatonton Chapel on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Life Celebration honoring Ms. Lockhart will take place at noon, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Union Baptist Church, 240 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive Eatonton, Georgia 31024, Reverend Johnny Harris serves as Pastor and will be officiating and presenting the Eulogy. Burial will follow at Eastside Eatonton Cemetery.

Ms vernier mae was a gracious lady, at times she walk wherever she wanted, when I was younger, she'd walk to my aunt Bertha to visit, as she gotten younger you'd see her sitting on her porch or working in her flowers, she was one of the matriarchs of MLK, she will greatly be missed
