Ms. Brenda Hudson was called home on January 7, 2025. Brenda Joyce Cole Hudson was called home on January 7, 2025. She was born on December 6, 1948, in Eatonton, Georgia, to the late Sam Cole Jr. and Margaret C. Cole.
Brenda attended Butler-Baker School and graduated in 1968. She married James Hudson Jr., and their union was blessed with four children: Devonda Rojuorn Hudson, Tavius Hudson, Brandon Hudson, and Sheena Hudson.
Brenda began her career at Enterprise Aluminum before pursuing her passion for nursing. She earned her LPN certification and dedicated over 30 years of service to Central State Hospital and Riverside State Prison. Brenda was a cherished coworker and a friend to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her five sisters: Helen Cole, Irene Cole, Margaret Marie Cole, Virginia Cole Ingram, and Maxine Cole; her three brothers: Herman Cole, Raymond Cole, and Glenwood Cole; and her two stepbrothers, Steve Jewell and John Bailey, along with her stepsister, Betty Paschel.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memory: Two sons: Tavius Hudson and Brandon Hudson (Valencia), One daughter: Sheena Hudson, Three grandchildren: Ty’Quavius Hudson, Javien Hudson, and Jai Hargrove a Devoted nephew: Torrane Cole, Two sisters: Barbara Evans and Frances Cole, a Stepsister: Tracy Jewell Bishop, Three stepbrothers: Ernest Bailey, Robert Jewell, and Eric Jewell, A host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
Brenda’s kindness, dedication, and love will forever live in the hearts of those she touched.
A visitation will be held Friday January 17, 2025, from 4-6 pm at our Eatonton Chapel.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 12 pm at Greater High Hope Christian Center, 110 Hogan Blvd, Eatonton, Georgia.
