Mrs. Betty Jean Gaines, of Panama City, made her transition on March 23rd at home. She was 71 years old.
Betty leaves a lifetime of love and treasured memories with her husband of 53 years, Jerry Gaines, Sr. of Panama City, Florida; two sons, Johnny Pickett (Gina) of Panama City, Florida and Jammie Gaines (Tabora) of Atlanta, Georgia; Sisters, Shirley (Kevin) Barber, Tina (Barry) Patterson-Reynolds; brothers, Charles Patterson and Robert )Jeanette) Patterson; four grandchildren, Johnny Pickett, Jr., Daniele Pickett, Covina Gaines and Taliah Gaines; and a host of great grands, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
A public viewing will be Friday, April 5th from 3-6 p.m. at New Judson Missionary Baptist Church.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, April 6th at 12 noon at New Judson Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby White, Dr. Shelly Barber and Apostle Dr. Kevin Barber officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Battle Mortuary of Panama City, FL.
