Willie B. Bethea affectionately known as “Bee,” “Papa” was born on November 1, 1948 to Annie Ruth Bethea and the late Victor Bethea. Willie B. quietly slipped into eternity on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his home in Dillon, South Carolina.
He was a diligent hard worker and provider. Willie B. was previously employed with Southern Road Builders/Apac for thirty-seven years retiring on July 7, 2007.
Always serving the Lord, six months ago he made the decision to get saved and joined New Covenant Free Rock Church.
Bee brought laughter and joy to his family, friends and any and all he came in contact with, he had a passion for fishing. He spent his last days in his home with his loving wife, Amanda who was also his caregiver. He will always be remembered as a loving son, uncle, dad, brother, great pa, husband, cousin and friend.
Preceding him in death ~ his father: Victor Bethea; sister: Annie Ruth Austin; a son: Willie James Bethea; a close nephew: James Earl “8 Ball” Johnson.
Willie B. leaves to cherish loving memories ~ his loving and caring wife: Amanda; his compassionate and caring mom: Annie Ruth Bethea; his mother-n-law: Judy B. Reese; a sister: Gerline (Timothy) Bellamy; two brothers: Victor Bethea Jr. and Willie Lee (Claudia) Bethea; three grandchildren: Shontiasia Bethea, Devon Chandler and Quatesha Townsend; four great grandchildren: Kaden Carmichael, Kiersten Bethea, Kennedy McTillman and Dalayiah Chandler; two special nieces: Sandra (Leamon) Bellamy and Lori Ford; three extremely close friends more like brothers: John (Barbara) Alford, Johnny (Eunice) Campbell and Lewis (Regina) “Pee Wee” Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
To my family, He fought a good fight , no more pain . Rest well to the coolest angel in heaven , we will all miss you .
