Brother Leo Gordon was the son of the late Mr. James and Mrs. Rosa C. Gordon, Sr. Brother Gordon was born in Hemingway, Williamsburg County, South Carolina on September 27, 1937. He departed this life on December 14, 2021, in Florence, South Carolina. He attended Chavis School in Hemingway, SC and was a member of Chavis A.M.E. where he sang on the choir in his youth. Brother Leo Gordon was a well-respected farmer in the community for three decades and loved dearly by his family members and friends. Brother Gordon was united in holy matrimony to Irene M. Gordon in 1971. He will forever be cherished by his wife of the home Irene M. Gordon and by his children, Mary Ann Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC; Jeffrey Cokely, Sr. of Georgetown, SC; Angela G. Thompson of Chalan Pago, Guam; Katrina Gordon of Charlotte, NC; Tamara Gordon, Desiree Tomlinson, and Crystal Gordon of Columbia, SC; Teresa (Pernell) Woodberry, Dorothy (Randall Williams) Flagler, Cassandra Dollard, Mildred (Sonny) Nelson, and Arthur Flagler of Hemingway, SC; twenty-four grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Sampson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by four sisters, Minnie Williams, Wilhelmina Fleming, Laura Chambers, and Mary Scott; three brothers, James Gordon Jr., Joseph Gordon, and John Gordon; one daughter, Joyce Flagler; one granddaughter and one son-in-law, Tony Thompson (#1 son-in-law of all times).
