Thomas’ journey began on June 30, 1985. He was the first child born to both Sharon Yvette Gross and Thomas Earl Braunson II. Thomas grew up predominantly on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. His educational journey started at Emmanuel Day Care Center. He and his mother moved to the Bronx where he started elementary school. However, his road led him to return to the Lower East Side for his education which concluded at Marte Valle High School.

As a youth, Thomas attended Dewitt Reformed Church where strong and long-lasting friendships were formed. Even at that young age Thomas developed a sense of humor and style that carried on through adulthood and will always be remembered.

Thomas loved to work and was a dedicated hard worker. Thomas’ travels with employment led him to various construction companies and Action Sanitation Company.

Family was everything to Thomas. He did his best to keep in contact with those near and far. He loved family gatherings and being the center of attention.

When his road turned again and he became a father three short months ago, his world was changed. When Thomas and Trisha Alam became parents, Vinessa became the focus of all he said and did. He was a good father, eager to learn how to care for her. Thomas has left to cherish his memory his 3-month-old daughter Vinessa; mother Sharon Y. Gross-Gill (Dexter Gill); father Thomas E. Braunson II; grandmother Yvonne Jones; sisters Tifanni, Alissa, Tiana and Jalana; brother Corey; nephews Amari, Tyshawn, Tahj; niece Jai’ari; a host of aunts, uncles, scores of cousins and an extended family of friends too numerous to name.

Although Thomas’ trip in life was short, it was filled with good times and lots of love. Thomas had a keen way of making family and friends feel special, especially the way he ended every conversation with “Love You More.”
