Lloyd Sanders
Funeral service for Lloyd Sanders "Boot" 71, will be Saturday, January 6, at noon at the Greater Thankful Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. PQ English, officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Sanders passed away on December 24, 2023 at Regional Medical Center. Mr. Sanders's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service. He was a member of Greater Thankful Baptist Church. He retired from McWane Tyler Foundry Company after 25 years of service.
Survivors include his children Lloyd D.(Mary) Sanders, Christopher L. (Dessie) Sanders, Adrienne T. (Patrick) Green, Cassandra (Byron) Garrett, Elanda (Keaton) Calhoun,; stepson: Carlos (Pam) Minniefield,; siblings: Everlena O.. (Percy) Hayes, Charles (Irma) Hackman; 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren; special niece: Tina Sanders, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Evelena Sanders, wife, Johnnie M. Sanders, son, Lawrence L. Barclay, step daughters, Juanita and Michelle Minniefield, siblings, Charlie (Mary) Sanders,Jr., Roosevelt (Lenstine) Sanders, James (Lola Mae) Sanders, Major (Vera) Sanders, Thomas Samuel (Vera) Sanders, Mary Etta (Charles) Swint, Margaret Sanders, Catherine (James) Windham, and Hattie Sanders.
