My heart, prayers and thoughts go out to the family of my sister, Pat. I fondly remember her heart for people, her contagious laughter, and her calling to pastoral ministry. As the former Assistant Dean of Shaw University Divinity School, I remember her as studious, funny, and simply hard working. She was a light in a dark world! Family, may God's peace and comfort keep you.

Pat and I met in the early 90's while working as home health RNs, and we connected immediately. Shortly afterwards, Pat preached her initial sermon, and I, too, preached my initial sermon. Pat was helpful during our encounters together. Our paths would continue to meet over a span of 30 plus years. I was happy to call her a colleague in nursing and a friend in ministry. May God bless her family with strength and faith in this new journey without Pat. Rev. Audrey Langley Wilson
