Obituary For Marlys Caquelin

Mrs. Marlys Lou (Claude) Caquelin, 71, a resident of Hillsborough, NC, passed on April 9, 2023.

A Celebration of Life memorial service for Marlys will be held at Elizabeth Street United Methodist Church in Durham, NC on May 20th at 2pm.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held in Woolstock, IA on July 15th, time to be announced.

Marlys was born February 25, 1952 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of James Clifford Claude and Enid Lorraine (Doolittle) Claude. She was a graduate of Webster City High School and Iowa State University. Following her education, her and her family moved to North Carolina.

Marlys is survived by two daughters Jodi and son-in-law Edgar of Durham, NC, Jamie and son-in-law Jason of Creedmoor, NC and son Jeremy and daughter-in-law Ramilyn of Hillsborough, NC; two sisters Ellen Stanley of Mebane, NC, Jeanone and Russ McClure of Ogden, IA, one brother Bryan Claude of Woolstock, IA and six grandchildren Cheyenne, Devy, Brynn, Weston, Bodhi and Jayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim Caquelin, one sister and one brother.

Marlys loved traveling and spending time with her family and friends, she is greatly missed.
