Mrs. Jackie Moore Watkins, 79, passed on Sunday, March 19, 2023. She was born in Wilmington, NC but was a lifelong resident of Durham, NC.
She was the daughter of the late Caleb and Virgie Moore and wife to her late husband Homer Watkins. She attended Fellowship Baptist Church. She love fishing, taking vacations to the beach and mountains and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Norma Forbush and Patricia Sellers. Jackie is survived by her two daughters, Jackie Ann Mathews (husband Lester) and Norma Jean Saleh; one son, Jerry Watkins; brother, Dennis Moore (wife Sara); seven grandchildren, Leslie Ruffule (husband Albert), Lorrie Robert, Walter Allen, David Allen (wife Jennifer), Jimmy Allen (wife Jacole), Hayley Watkins and Presley Watkins; 13 great grandchildren, Carissa Gilbert (husband Justin), Mykayla Mathis (husband James), Nico Ruffule, Gino Ruffule, Leah Allen, Cameron Allen, Cody Allen, Cheyanne Allen, Isabella Allen, Nicholas Briggs (wife Katie), Jessica Brunson (husband Steffan); seven great great grandchildren, Logan Briggs, Amber Gilbert, Jacob Mathis, Jack Mathis, Nicholas Briggs, Jr., Cody Briggs, Kairi, Brunson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services followed by Entombment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum (2901 Harvard Avenue Durham, NC 27703) on Monday, March 27, 2023. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm and the service will begin at 2:00 pm. Rev. Phillip Adams will be officiating.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember her country breakfasts cooking while she was in the kitchen whipping out some delicious homemade biscuits before everyone sat down together. ❤️
