Dear Anthony, I'm sorry to say that I never knew you. But yesterday, on April 13, 2024, I met your mother for the first time, who is a most wonderful person indeed, and you are still a part of her, most definitely. She told me of your passing almost three years ago, and she spoke of you with such love and admiration and pride. Clearly you lived a remarkable life. As a longtime citizen of Durham, I have deep gratitude for your service to our community as a police officer for our beloved Bull City. I and my wife will say a prayer for you on April 19, and we will honor your memory. May eternal rest in paradise be yours, as I am sure it indeed is.
