Sister Mary Magdelene Lester Woodson was born on February 14, 1942, to the union of the late Mattie Bell Bembry and Joe Jordan in Hawkinsville, GA. Mary accepted Christ at an early age and was united with the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as the Sunday school treasurer and building fund treasurer, until her health began to fail. In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with family, singing, reading her bible, and completing crossword puzzles. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Joshua Woodson, Sr., on January 2, 1960, and to this union three children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie Bell Bembry and Joe Jordan, and siblings, Rose Wynder, Ozell Bembry, Johnnie Mae Bembry, Almedia Bembry, Johnnie Bembry, Chester Jordan, Joe Jordan, Jr., Freddie Jordan, James Jordan, and Dorothy Dyson. She leaves to cherish her memories: her spouse of 61 years, Mr. Joshua Woodson, Sr.; her loving and devoted children, Joshua (Opal) Woodson, Jr., Curtis Lamar Woodson, and Juanita Lynn Woodson; a loving step-daughter, Mae Joyce Hollingsworth; grandchildren, Shontel Woodson, Krisslynn Wilson, Kristiana Wilson, Jocelyn Woodson, Sadoc Jackson, Jr., Fabinn (Lorena) Woodson, Deantonio Mathis, Talithia (Xavier) Woodson Bryant, Lindetta LaFavor (Daniel), Brandon Stewart, Danyel Battle, Melanie Hollingsworth, Sharome Hollingsworth, and Kamireo (Cherena) Hollingsworth; siblings, Juanita Watson, Marcel (Jennifer) Bembry, Daniel Bembry, Judi Bembry, Johnnie (Patricia) Jordan, Vivian (LaJune) Jordan, Tony (Yvette) Jordan, Timothy (Justine) Jordan, Earl (Shirley) Jordan, Frankie (Barbara) Gordon, Daniel (Teresa) Jordan, Jason Darling, Milton Jordan, Joseph (Kimberly) Darling, Carolyn Harris, and Hennie L.
