Mrs. Catherine Young Turner 91, of Byromville GA entered into eternal rest on Thursday January 27, 2022.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Catherine Young Turner 91 ,of Byromville GA will be Saturday February 5 ,2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Vienna City Cemetery, Vienna Georgia.
Catherine Young Turner was born on December 13, 1930, to the late Rosa Neal and Will Young, Sr., in Byromville, GA. Catherine accepted Christ at an early age and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. On January 6, 1951, she was united in holy matrimony with the late Willie J. Turner (Shirah), and to this union six children were born. Catherine loved cooking, watching the news and soap operas, talking on the phone, and being a great wife, mother, and loving grandmother. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Willie J. Turner; parents, Rosa Neal and Will Young, Sr.; sisters, Edith Fulks, Lena Archie, Laura Williams, and Shirley Hunsely; brothers, LC Young, Rufus James Young, Murray J. Young, and Arthur Young. She leaves to cherish her memories: her six children, James Larry Turner, Benjamin Turner, Cynthia Turner, all of Byromville, GA, Willie Turner of Albany, GA, Benedict (Audrey) Turner of Warner Robins, GA, and Barry (Yvette) Turner of Park Forest, IL; her grandchildren include, Salathiel, Larry Jr., Natasha (Chris), Teneeshia (Adrian), Davieon (Javon), Barry Jr., Catrina (Damien), Shun’kia, Shannon, Brittany (Jolston), Brandon, and Danielle; her siblings include, Will (Annette) Young, Edward Young, and Albert (Arabella) Young, Bertha (Walter) Gary, Ophelia (Alphonso) Ball; like a sister was her cousin, Annie Cason; one sister-in-law, Eunice Young; a special friend, Lessie Brown Harris; a niece she raised as her own, Willene (Shelton) Loman; 17 great-grandchildren; a beloved fur-baby, Beamer D. Street; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends.
It was so hard losing you 10 days after losing your sister, my mom, but I know you 2 Queens are having a grand time together hanging out with the other family queens.
