Graveside Services for Mr. Johnnie B. McClendon 69,of Vienna GA will be Wednesday July 22, 2020 at 11:00a.m. by immediate family only at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery Pinehurst, Georgia .Public Visitation will be held Tuesday July 21 from 2-6 p.m.
Mr. Johnnie B. McClendon was born on October 21st, 1950 in Dooly County, GA to the late Seabright Wiggins. He departed this life on Tuesday, July 15th 2020 when the Lord visited his home in Vienna, GA and said, “Come with me” Affectionately known to his family and friends as “Chief”, Johnnie B. always conducted himself as a gentlemen moving quietly about and wearing his signature smile. He attended Dooly County Schools and made a career out of farming. He took great pride in his work and was always willing to help others. In 1973, he met the woman of his dreams and made her his wife in November 1976. Johnnie B. leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife Mrs. Rhudene McClendon with whom he shared his joys for 47 years. Other survivors include his three sisters; Mae Lois Green and Mable Cannon, both of Vienna, GA; and Juliette (Bee) Hightower or Orlando, FL; one brother, Calvin (Sarah) Turner of Montezuma, GA; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Mathis of Cordele, GA; two brothers-in-law, Johnny C. Wright of Vienna, GA and Tamp (Mary) Wright of Jonesboro, GA a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
