My Dear Cousin, Rev. James Hightower. You are missed by me, but I know you are now present with the Lord. Honor and Love bestowed upon you dear cousin. I would like to offer my condolences to the Hightower and Parks family. My name is Gale Ware-Parsons and I came to Elizabeth Baptist Church as a baby. Rev. Hightower was my Pastor for the first 25 years of my life. I remember walking in the church at 5 years old and asking my Mom if he was Jesus. He was standing behind the pulpit in his white robe with the red sash and he seemed so large to me and not just in physical stature. He was an excellent teacher of God's word. I learned how to really study my Bible under his Wednesday night Bible study in the fellowship hall. I thank God for his influence on my life and all the seeds that God had him to plant in my early Christian walk. I pray God's peace and comfort to the family and all of the extended Elizabeth Baptist Church Family.
Condolences and prayers for the Hightower & connecting families & churches. Rev. Hightower was one of Atlanta's finest preachers. Pastored a mega church (EBC) before the term was ever popular. The heavens are rejoicing. C. Drinks, Riverdale, GA
