To the Weldon family. We would like to extend our most sincere condolences and forever prayers. Do keep the faith and always remember God is in charge and never question his work. We understand it's hard not too want to say why, but he came for another Angel to do much more important work in the kingdom and pave the way for us. May God Bless you all. Love, David & Chris Boston
My dear Soror Eddie Mae was a light to us all. She was the life of the party always laughing and joyful. Condolences to the family. Gods continued blessings on you all now and forever. I will continue to honor her every February as we go red for heart month. I will miss her dearly. Soror Stacy Madison
Ms. Weldon was an angel in our community growing up. She was was a selfless person who helped others. Living in John Hope Homes and being raised by my mother who was a single parent and we didn't have a car. Ms. Mae Weldon took us to all the M. Agnes Jones Band Concerts, other school events, non school events, and to the grocery stores for years without once asking for gas money. My mom would offer to pay but she said no. She told my mother that God blessed her with a car and she doesn't have to worry about transportation. They both cried. She loved her family. She told me several years ago that her children were given her her flowers daily while she was living and she was proud of them. Also, she encouraged me and others to do good and treat other like you want to be treated. She was an example of a person who did God's word by example and not by lip service. So many of us talk the talk and not walk the walk. She may be physically gone but her spirit lives in her family and the many people that she touched over a lifetime.
Thank you for sharing your mother with us John P. Lunsford Sr (John John)!!!
