MR. JOHNNY HOWARD FEGGINS, the last of the children born to the late Ben Sr. and Merlissa Revis Feggins was born August 31, 1944 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and departed this life August 28, 2019 in The Hundley Center, South Hill, VA.
He was also preceded in death by his siblings- Ben Feggins, Jr., Robert Feggins, Cleveland Feggins, Mary Gregory, Maggie Garner, and Catherine Ashe.
At an early age he was baptized and joined the former Free Union RZUA Church and remained a member under the new name of Free Union Church until his health failed.
Johnny was married to the late Pauline Garner Feggins for over 40 years. To this union seven children were born; a daughter, Debbie Feggins, preceded him in death.
Johnny was employed by Northern and Southern Railroad for many years until his retirement.
Johnny was an avid sports fan; always accompanying his children in their particular sports being played. You could always see him on the sidelines, cheering his children on. He also coached the South Hill Yellow Jackets for over six years.
In his spare time Johnny enjoyed visiting with family and friends and sitting at the door of Browns Auto Service Center, greeting you, telling you come on in, he’ll see you next.
Johnny leaves to mourn six children- Eugene (Phyllis) Feggins, Fairfax, VA; Howard (Renea Dickerson) Feggins, Pueblo, CO; Tracey Pearson, LaCrosse, VA; Sherry Feggins, Durham, NC; Christopher (Shawan) Feggins, Chesterfield, VA and Angela Feggins (John Stone) South Hill, VA; grandchildren he reared- Sherisha Feggins and Mary Brown; 11 other grandchildren- Kevin Feggins, Keith Pearson, Jensen Feggins, Destiny Pearson, Anthony Talley, Jr., Kenya Staton, Brianna Feggins, Jontrae Stone, Fantasia Robinson, Kiarra Feggins, and Joseph Feggins; 2 great-grandchildren- Iyanna Pearson and Aubrey Talley; 7 in-laws- Willie Mae Feggins, Dare Feggins, Connie Coleman, Helen, Meredith, John, and Harold Garner; devoted friends- Linwood and Margaret Thomas, Delma Jones, Carolyn and Tony Brown, Milton and Bettie Pearson, John Eddie Jackson, and George Brown Auto Service, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
