GRAND COTEAU - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 174 Church Street, Grand Coteau, LA for Mrs. Mary Ann Smith Ledet, 64, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Father Derrick Weingartner, S.J. will be officiating the funeral mass. Mrs. Ledet’s memories are being cherished by: her loving husband, Alfred Ledet, Sr. of Opelousas, LA; four sons, John Ledet (Mary), Alfred Ledet, Jr., Bryant Ledet and Ricardo Ledet (Devyn), all of Opelousas, LA; her daughter, Felicia Ledet (Edwin) of Opelousas, LA; grandchildren, Farantina Ledet, Mykaylan Ledet (Perry), Martina Ledet, Jazmine Leday, Trevon Fontenot, Devaughn Ledet, Aleiyah Ledet, Jon Logan Ledet, Tina Marie Ledet and Amayah Ledet; siblings, Anna Mae Smith Domingeaux (Peter) of Bellevue, LA, Leona Smith Joseph (Xavier) of Houston, TX, Selena Smith Thibodeaux (Felix, Jr.) of Iowa, LA, Joseph “Ray” Smith (Linda) and Gabriel Smith, Sr. (Vivian), both of Opelousas, LA; Godchildren, Ricky Domingeaux and DePorres Thibodeaux; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends. Mrs. Ledet was preceded in death by: her parents, Albert and Lena Smith; one brother, Joseph “Merlin” Smith; and two sisters, Brenda Smith Davis and Debra Ann Smith. Visitation will be observed on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
