Obituary For Kenneth Broadnax

Mr. Kenneth Broadnax, 55, of Eden, NC died July 4, 2019. Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Friday July 12, 2019 at Christian View Progressive Primitive Baptist Church, Wentworth, NC. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be held in Eden Gardens Cemetery, Eden, NC.

Kenny, born July 28, 1963 to Sheila Wells and the late George “Buck” Broadnax. He departed this life on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Kenneth, affectionately called “Kenny” resided in Rockingham County and was educated in the Rockingham School System. Kenny worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the former Morehead Memorial Hospital, Eden, NC. Kenny was a member of Smyrna Holiness Church. Kenny always had a joyful spirit, loved people and loved his family dearly. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Broadnax and niece, Kimberly Broadnax. Kenny leaves to cherish his memories: Gordon, his life partner of over 30 years, mother; Sheila Wells (Jerry) of Eden, NC, Grandmother; Pattie Broadnax of Wentworth, NC, sister; Tonia Surratt of Stoneville, NC, brothers; Harold Broadnax (Caroline), Chris Broadnax both of Wentworth, NC, Michael “Mike” Broadnax, Wilbur Broadnax both of Eden, NC, uncles; Roy Thompson (Mildred), James Thompson both of Eden, NC, Doug Broadnax of Wentworth, NC, aunts; Delna Watt (Ben), Bettie Gant (Walter) both of Wentworth, NC, great aunts; Sarah Ray of Eden, NC, Elsie Mock (French) of Cleveland, OH, special friend; Melissa Andrews, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
