Mr. Robert Lee Rivers was born May 17, 1941 to Beatrice Johnson in Mobile, Alabama. Upon completion of High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he was employed as a letter carrier. Later he became a construction worker and worked on many historical and business sites locally and surrounding areas of Mobile County.

Robert transitioned from time to eternity on Saturday, June 29, 2019. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Rivers; mother, Beatrice Johnson and son, Bruce E. Barnes.

Those who will continue to share his legacy and cherish his memories: five children: Anna M. Williams, Winford Barnes, Denise Rivers Lyons, Jacinta (Thomas) Bovvay and Sean (Concetta) Payne; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A host other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Catholic Cemetery of Mobile, Alabama at 10:00 AM with Reverend Dr. Clyde Maye, officiating Eulogist| Mayberry Funeral Home, Directing | 149 Carver Avenue | Atmore, Alabama 36502 | (251) 368-4525
