Funeral services for Mr. Adrian Caldwell, 47, of 4836 Misty Pine Lane, Orangeburg, will be held 11:00 am, Friday, June 14, 2019 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 2259 Rowesville Road, Orangeburg, with interment in Belleville Memorial Gardens. Reverend Charcey N. Priester and Reverend Virginia White are officiating. Mr. Caldwell will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Caldwell passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
Adrian Caldwell, son of the late Mr. Theodore Caldwell,Jr. and Mrs. Helen Smalls Caldwell, was born on July 7, 1971 in Orangeburg County. He departed this life on Saturday, June 8, in Orangeburg, SC.
He received his formal education from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College and South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, SC and worked as a Senior Engineer at Continental Tire in Sumter, SC. At an early age in life, Adrian joined St. Paul Baptist Church in Orangeburg, SC where he dedicated his life to the Lord. He later became a member of Brookland Baptist Church in Columbia, SC. He was very active in the community and was, among many things, the Chairman of the Board and the brains behind the establishment of Inspirations College & Career Charter Academy in Columbia, SC.
Adrian was beloved by everyone that had the honor and pleasure to come in contact with him. He was tireĀless in how he showed up to help any and everyone he could. Adrian had a uniquely special and caring heart and love for people. When Adrian loved you, he gave his all to make sure you knew how much he loved you. He was always willing to help, even if it meant he would be at a disadvantage. He drew his joy from knowing that you were better off than you were before. Adrian was not just a gentlemen. He was a gentle man. He never spoke of any of his accomplishments and was most proud of being a parent. Both father and daughter were inseparable.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Helen Smalls Caldwell and Father, Theodore Caldwell, Jr. Adrian is survived by his wife Peggy Conner Caldwell, his only daughter, and the "apple of his eye" Cameron Alexis Caldwell; two brothers Anthony (Amanda) Caldwell, Orangeburg, SC and Dexter (Nionica), GreenĀville, SC; two sisters: Victoria (Hootan) Afzali-Caldwell, San Jose, CA and Tiffany (Donnell) Washington, Beaufort, SC; two step-daughters, Adrienne McTeer and Madison McTeer, Sumter, SC; 3 step-grandchildren, Carson, Cameron, and Aubree; 15 beloved nieces and nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 12:00 noon -8:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2019 with a wake service from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Friends may call at the residence of his brother, Mr. Anthony B. Caldwell, 275 Waterford Parkway, Orangeburg or Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg.
