Obituary For Mrs. Beverly Ann Wollins Irick

Funeral services for Mrs. Beverly Ann Wollins Irick, 58, of 4023 Kennerly Road, Orangeburg will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 2868 Columbia Rd, Orangeburg, with interment to follow in Heavenly Rest Memorial Park. Pastor Ann Owens is officiating.

Beverly Ann Wollins Irick, the daughter of the late Katherine Gamble Wollins and James Wollins, Sr., was born October 20, 1960 in Trenton, New Jersey. She entered into eternal rest on June 15, 2019 at the Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg, SC.

Beverly was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County and was a 1979 graduate of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. She also attended South Carolina State University.

She was self-employed and owned Beverly’s Affordable Hair Salon.

Beverly was a member of Saint Paul Baptist Church and later joined God’s Kingdom Supernatural Praise Ministries.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Gerldine Stan; one brother, Authur Gamble; and one brother-in-law, Vincent Haynes.

Beverly leaves to cherish fond memories her husband, Freddie Irick; four sisters: Arlene Renne Wollins Haynes, Marlene Ada Wollins and Katherine Wollins, all of Orangeburg, SC and Thelma Felder Green or North, SC; three brothers: Thomas White of Staten Island, NY, Charles (Denise) Gamble of Columbia, SC, James Wollins, Jr. of Orangeburg, SC; one Goddaughter, Sheileyce Johnson of Standord, Connecticut; mother-in-law, Mattie Mae Irick; five sisters-in-law; three dear friends: Carlyon, Shelly Johnson and Fat Boy D, all of Stanford, CT; one close friend, Patricia Dunhum of Washington, DC; two loving aunts: Lizzie Stewart of Washington, DC and Marie Gamble of Bronx, NY; two uncles: Raymond Gamble an Floyd Gamble, both of New York, NY; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mrs. Irick passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg.

Visitation will be held 12:00 noon - 8:00 pm Friday, June 21, 2019.

Friends may call and visit her sisters, Marlene Williams and Arlene Haynes, at the residence, 4023 Kennerly Road, Orangeburg or Simmons Funeral Home & Crematory of Orangeburg.
