Funeral services will be Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., Westhaven Funeral Home Chapel, 19068 Highway 51, Hazlehurst, MS 39083 with burial Hazlehurst City Cemetery in Hazlehurst, MS.

Bow Smith was born in Copiah County to the late Burnell and Emma Lee Smith on January 28, 1961. He departed this life after a lengthy illness on Monday, May 20 at the University Medical Center, Jackson, MS. He was married to Tammie Nelson Smith from that union was born one child Ryan Smith.

Bow Smith enjoyed cooking, family outings, football, golf and traveling with family and friends. Coming into age of employment Bow Smith began working at Kentucky Fried Chicken. However, he spent most of his adulthood working at Sysco as a Supervisor. Bow Smith was a happy and caring man.

Preceding him in death were his mother and father; Burnell and Emma Lee Smith, two sisters; Gloria Jean Stovall and Betty Faye Williams and one niece Sabrina LaShae Smith.

On Monday, May 20, 2019 at the University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS the beautiful memories he leaves behind will be cherished by his loving siblings: Toyice (Foster) Topp, Hazlehurst, MS; Deborah (Jimmy) Bridges, Jackson, MS; Bernice (Sinclair) Martin, Hazlehurst, MS; Carrie Bozeman, Hazlehurst, MS; Mary Smith, Hazlehurst, MS; Lorane Watts, Chicago, IL; Larry (Doretha) Smith, McComb, MS; Curtis (Annie) Smith, Madison, MS; Burnell Smith, Jr.; Gertie Carr aka "Elaine", Jackson, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
