“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” II Timothy 7:4

On Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at the Select Specialty Extended Care Hospital, Jackson, Mississippi, one we loved and knew stepped across the threshold that we call death, but it was only a step into another room, and not a stepping out of the fellowship of life. It was but a stepping into one of other rooms of our Father’s house.

Tommie (T.C.) Smith was born on February 27, 1947 in Arm, Mississippi to the late Q. D. and Rosie Smith. He attended the McCullough High School, Monticello, Mississippi. Later, in life he became a member of the Eaton Temple Church of God in Christ, were he served in the Male Choir and Sunday School teacher.

Tommie (T. C.) was employed with Georgia-Pacific in Goss, Mississippi for several years and worked in the offshore field for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing but most of all he had a gifted talent when it comes to fixing cars.

To the family and friends: please, accept our sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. You can find comfort in the Bible account found at John 11; Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life". Please find more information about this beautiful promise at jw.org.
