Mr. George Hairston, 62, died April 3, 2019. Memorial service will be held Thursday 2: 00 p.m. at Perry- Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

GEORGE HAIRSTON, born: February 22, 1957 – April 3, 2019. Parents: Barlow Hairston / Ada Hairston (deceased); Children: Litisha Marie (Chante’) Hopkins Thompson, Tyrra Ann Hopkins and Sctaria Malloy; Grandchildren: Brey Malloy, Jamari Malloy, Jolen Thompson, Siblings: Ada Hairston, Alex Hairston Trina), Peter Hairston (Debra), Roy Hairston (deceased), Sister-in-law: Teresa Hairston Host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. George retired from Dillard Primary Elementary School, Madison, NC after 28 years. He worked at Marathon Gas Station (Mayodan, NC) and a local Landromat for 5 years, until his death. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, loved animals and helping those in need. George was consistently attending church services and had a personal relationship with God.
