Tommy Lee Harris, Jr., was born June 25, 1943, to Tommy Lee Harris Sr. and Catherine Poats. Tommy accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at Mt. Elizabeth Baptist Church in Bolton, MS. He also attended Mount Nebo and later joined Emmanuel M. B. Church in Jackson, MS. Tommy attended Reuben Elementary in Bolton, MS; He graduated from Jim High School in Jackson, MS. Tommy joined the Air Force in 1964. In 1965, Tommy met the love of his life Martha Ann Williams. They were married June 25, 1965. From this union four daughters were born; Victoria, Veronica, Alicia and Delyndria. Tommy was an amazing, caring, and loving husband, Father, Grand-father and Great grandfather. Tommy never met a stranger. He loved family gatherings and fellowship with his church family at Emmanuel. Tommy at the age of 75 took his last flight to glory on March 12, 2019, in Jackson, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents; Father, Tommy Lee Harris Sr. and Mother, Catherine Poats; his brothers, Q.C. Griffin; Eddie Harris, one brother-in-law Tommy Williams and one sister-in-law and Emma Calvin. Tommy leaves behind a devoted wife, Mrs. Martha Ann Harris; four daughters; Victoria (Clarence) Rupert; Veronica (Raleigh) Ainsworth; Alicia Ann Harris and Delyndria Joy Harris all of Jackson, MS. His pride and joy were his eight grandchildren: Deshawn(Younna)Smith; Joseph Smith; KeAunte Harris; Gregory Harris; Clevaughn Harris; Clarince Rupert; Tommy Rupert; Victor Rupert; Jessica Harris and Cortez Harris all of Jackson, Mississippi. He has three great-grand; De’Asia Amirea Sanders of Jackson, MS; Alijah La’Shae Harris Newton, MS and Noah Amir Harris of Memphis, TN, three sisters Vonnie (Coy) Gentry of Jackson, MS; Mable Stamps of Los Angeles, CA and Evelyn Michael of Jackson, MS one brother Johnny (Mary) Harris of Los Angeles, CA; one sister-in-law Callie (John) Coggins of Decatur, GA; Tommy had a host of nephews, nieces and cousins that he loved dearly and adored.
