Mr. Clark Hart passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
Clark Randolph Hart (“Randy”) was born in Guilford County on August 9, 1962, the fourth son of Hazelean B. and Billy J. Hart. We lost Randy last week as a result of complications from a lung condition he battled with courage and quiet dignity for the last twelve years of his life.
From a young age, he had an infectious smile that warmed our hearts. Randy attended schools in Charlotte and Guilford County and received his GED from Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC). He was an adventurer from the time he was two years old and always held some musical instruments as his toys. Normal toys did not interest him. He taught himself to play the drums, guitar, and keyboard.
Randy worked as a sound systems engineer for several venues in Greensboro and surrounding areas. Music Loft was his first employer. He also worked for Ken Carey and Carey Sounds for several years. His most recent employer before his illness was Cone Denim Entertainment Center in Greensboro.
Randy found joy in both music and the open road. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. He was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, adventure.
What you saw was always what you got with Randy and what you saw, if you were lucky enough to be his friend, was a truly delightful, generous, easygoing, and fun-loving human being.
Predeceased by his father, Billy J. Hart, Randy is survived by his mother, Hazelean Bigelow Hart; three brothers: Reuben Hart, Victor Hart, both of Greensboro, and Edwin Dale Hart (Margot) of Apex, North Carolina; one niece, Olivia Hart; four nephews: Khorey, Nicholas, Reuben McKeil, and Julian; five aunts; one uncle; and a host of cousins and friends.
Although Randy’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love for music, adventure, and compassion in all that we do!
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 12:00 pm in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home located at 909 East Market Street in Greensboro, North Carolina. Visitation 11:30 am.
